Practical and Industrial Training

GGIAET is the only Institute of its own kind ,which sends its student for practical /Industrial training to foremost aviation industries in india .Students are sent for Industrial Training of 6 to 12 weeks duration at Hindustan Aeronautical Ltd.(nasik),HAL(Bangalore),Gas Turbine Research Establishment ,National Thermal Power corp etc to gain technical skills and expose them to the manufacture process ,involved in Aircraft ,Aero engine ,Avionnics systems/Industries.

The Hindusthan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Bangalor & Nasik

Hindusthan Aeronauticals limited is the prime industry in the aeronautical field in India .This organization is involved in design ,manufacture ,production ,overhaul of aircraft and its components.Its Factories are leading Public Sector Undertakings involved in defence production of aircraft .Indigenously designed DHRUS helicopter is being exported to countries like chile ,Isreal etc .HAL also produces MiG series etc .

HAL also produses MiG series & Sukhoi 30 fighter aircraft and transport aircraft like Dornier.HAL also has overhaul facilities for Jaguar ,Kiran ,AN-32 ,AVRO aircraft and Chetak/Cheetan helicopter.A 4 week training programme was organized at HAL overhaul Division Bangalore (which overhauls Jaguar and Kiran Mark II aircraft )for Six B Tech students from 01 to 26 Oct 2005 .

It was "No pay-no Fee "training programme The student could enhance their classroom knowledeand get exposure to hardcore aeronautical activities .A batch of 33 B Tech students of Aeronautical engineering have been sent for a "Six Week practical Training "at Hal Nasik Division (which overhauls MiG series and produces Su-30 aircraft )from 17 Aprial 2006 to 27 May 2006 .The complexities of supersonic aircraft were better understood by the students during this practical training.

We take pride to state that our institutre is the only institution of own kind from where HAL (Nashik & Bangalore) has accepted students for practical training.

Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) Banglore

GTRE is Defence Research and is involved in research and development organisation (DRDO)Laboratory and is involved in research and development is currently developing the indigenous "Kaveri" engine for Light Combat AirCraft (LCA)-Tejas.our AeSi student undergone "One year practical Training "at GTRE.

Nation Thermal power Institute (NTPI) (New Delhi & Nagpur):

NTPI is engaged in training in power and align energy sectors. They have trained more then a lakh people in various facts of power industries for about 40 years

18 students have undegone "Two weeks training " at N.TPI badarpur from 19th sept 2005.

In addition nerly 175 students have visited at NTPI to acquent themselves with the various facts of power generations.

INDIAN(Indian Airline):

Indian (formerly Indian Airlines) is the flage bearer of Indian Aviation Industry, operation on domestic as well as International routes.One student of aeronautical Engineering undergoing month training with the company.

Madhya Pradesh Flying Club Ltd.,Indore

M.P Flying club Indore which has the approval of DGCa conducts flying training for the award of CPL/PPL after 10+2 .The club has wind range of metal aircraft on its inventory & highly qualified & experienced instructors. Aeronautical Engineering students are also given hands on experience by M.P flying club which proves to be extremely beneficial to the students especially while seeking jobs with the Aviation Industry. Aeronautical students have undergone practical training at M.P Flying club Ltd.Indore ,for period of two months .Students were exposed to operational flying & the maintenance support requirements.In addition they were exposed to Aircraft manuals and the documentation for the aircraft.

Regional Remote Sensing & Service Center(Unit of ISRO),Nagpur

An industrial visit was organized for 65 students of Electronics & Tele. and Computer Sc. on 23rd Feb 2007 to Regional Remote Sensing & Service center (RRSSC),a unit of ISRO .An audio visual presentation on Broad role and activities of RRSSc was given by Dr. Krishamurthy the Director of the center. Among issues covered were satellite concepts,Launching GSLE, INSAT, various orbits and application to broadcasting ,meteorology ,image processing & mapping .The visit proved to be very educative & fascinating for the student.

Maruti Udyog Ltd,Gurgaon

"Maruti Udyog Ltd. Is a Household name in manufacturing of passenger car like Maruti ,Zen,Alto etc sold in india & abroad .One of our mechanical engineering student is undergoing two months training there."

Sonalika International Cars & Motors Ltd.

Sonalika International Cars and Motors Limited is well -Known company in manufacture of tractors and tractor parts.Four students of mechanical engineering branch are undergoing 21/2 months training with the company.

EKL Appliances Ltd.(Unit of Electolux ,Shahjahan Pur):

EKL Appliances Ltd. of mechanical engineering are undergoing six month training at Drive well Industries of faridabad ,well known company for manufacturing automobile components.
